The UEFA Champions League final will be played at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul in 2023, guaranteed to have two incredible teams competing for the sought after trophy.

Istanbul was due to host the 2020 Final but due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this was pushed back to 2023.

This is the second time that Istanbul has hosted the prestigious match, the first being back in 2005.

It was quite a memorable occasion for football fans around the world, but particularly Liverpool fans who saw their team make a historic comeback. Liverpool were 3-0 down to AC Milan at half time but inspired by Steven Gerrard, the team clawed it back to 3-3 and won the resulting penalty shootout.
