City of Art and Sciences

The City of Art and Sciences in Valencia is one of the largest scientific and cultural complexes in Europe. It is made up of six large elements: the hemisferic (IMAX Cinema and digital films) the Umbracle, the Principe Felipe Science Museum, the Oceanografic, the Reina Sofia Palace of the Arts and the Agora.

It stands out because of it’s avant-garde architecture, designed by renowned architects Santiago Calatrava and Felix Candela. Everything has been designed carefully to create a jaw-dropping vision, from the white mosaic tiles sparking in the water by day, to the reflections of the buildings in the water by night.

Whether you wish to explore the aquarium and dine amongst the fish or arrange a conference and reception with an amazing viewpoint, you can!

The Old Town

Valencia old town referred to as ‘Casco Antiguo’ or ‘Ciutat Vella’, both of which are Spanish translations of ‘old town’ is steeped in history reaching 2000 years back, which makes it an amazing place to discover, with places of interest at every corner. It has been home to Roman, Visigoth and Muslim settlements, evident in the beautiful yet eclectic mix of architecture.

The Old Town is uniquely laid out in the shape of a star, an influence from the Muslim settlements, and the town was originally walled by the Romans. It is easily walkable, and a stroll around the alleys is indeed the best way to enjoy the lively atmosphere of this district. Expect live street music, locals chatting over a drink outdoors on the cobbled streets and quirky shops selling local gifts.

In the Old Town, you’ll find several public squares, many restaurants and cafes, and also most of Valencia’s main tourist attractions. The Valencia Catehdral, Lonja de la Seda, and Central Market can all be found here.

There’s always plenty of drama at the Hungarian Grand Prix and the hospitality facilities there are second to none, an incredible experience for any team.

With complimentary food and drink included and fantastic views of the track, this was truly the highlight of an outstanding day.
